2026 CTCI Foundation Overseas Student Employment in Taiwan Grant Application Information
►Application period is form July 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026, 16:00pm (For graduate students of department of electrical engineering)
- For those who want to apply for the scholarship, aside from submitting necessary materials to the department office, please go to the school's student aid system (https://reurl.cc/Gem0LG) and apply for the scholarship there. Please register and log in to the "NTHU Student Aid System" - search "中技社科技獎學金" - click "I want to apply" and fill the information needed.

►As the selection of this scholarship requires recommendation from the department and then collected and sent by the school all together. For graduate students who are eligible and have your advisor's recommendation, please complete the online registration and sent the electronic files (in both Word and PDF formats) along with the hard-copy of the application files to the office of department. All procedure should be done before the deadline - August 14, 2026, 16:00pm. Overdue will not be accepted.
►The scholarship must be recommended by the department and each department will recommend only one candidate. All applications will be reviewed by the Head of Department and decided to recommend candidates.
Eligible applicant
1. Department Institute Nomination:
(1) Eligible applicants: Master’s and doctoral graduates of the current or immediately preceding academic year from designated science- and engineering-related departments or institutes (133 departments and institutes in total) at the following eight universities: National Taiwan University, National Tsing Hua University, National Cheng Kung University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, National Taiwan Normal University, National Central University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and National Taipei University of Technology. The list of eligible departments and institutes is provided in the Appendix. Each department or institute may nominate one applicant only.
(2) Qualifications: An average academic score of 80 or above for each semester during graduate study, and employment in Taiwan in scientific research or technology-related work (excluding postdoctoral research).
2. Previous recipients of the CTCI Foundation “Research Scholarship for Overseas Graduate Students”:
(1) Eligible applicants: Master’s and doctoral graduates in the current or immediately preceding academic year who previously received the CTCI Foundation Research Scholarship for Overseas Graduate Students.
(2) Qualifications: Employment in Taiwan in scientific research or technology-related work (excluding postdoctoral research).
Application Procedures
1. Application process for department or institute nominations
Applicant submission: Applicants should visit the CTCI Foundation website to access the announcement and application page for the CTCI Foundation Overseas Student Employment in Taiwan Grant, download and complete the application package titled “CTCI Foundation Overseas Student Employment in Taiwan Grant – Department or Institute-Nominated Applicant,” and submit the electronic files (in both Word and PDF formats) along with the hard-copy documents to their department or institute.
2. Application process for previous recipients of the CTCI Foundation “Research Scholarship for Overseas Graduate Students”
Master’s and doctoral graduates of the current or immediately preceding academic year who have previously received the CTCI Foundation Research Scholarship for Overseas Graduate Students are exempt from department or institute nomination. Applicants should directly access the announcement and application page for the CTCI Foundation Overseas Student Employment in Taiwan Grant on the CTCI Foundation website, download and complete the application package titled “CTCI Foundation Overseas Student Employment in Taiwan Grant – Former Recipients of the CTCI Foundation Research Scholarship for Overseas Graduate Students,” print one hard-copy set for submission to the CTCI Foundation, upload the application files in both Word and PDF formats to a cloud drive, and email the download link to the Foundation’s designated contact person. Applications will be processed only upon receipt of both the hard-copy materials and the electronic files.
